This gated, condominium community is located in Jacksonville, Florida. Homeowners enjoy amenities, like a pool and tennis court. Associa Community Management Concepts of Jacksonville (Associa CMC) has managed the property since 2021.
Challenge:
The association’s prior management team created several issues for the board of directors. It left many items unresolved, delayed necessary projects, and didn’t properly follow through in vetting vendors. Due to project delays, more challenges stacked up, and the community was faced with fixing several components: the spa, mailbox doors, gutters, electrical, light poles, and roof. Financials and vendor payments also needed improvement.
Resolution:
Upon partnering with the community, Associa CMC helped the board re-establish the relationship with vendors. The management team spearheaded a full audit of the gutters and worked to improve and repair the community’s problem areas in a timely manner. Currently, the management team is tackling the financials and working with auditor to verify accuracy. Communicating with the board weekly, keeping homeowners up-to-date on what’s going on, and using the TownSq app to post information has provided everyone who lives in the community with full visibility. Residents are happy to see that there’s not only transparency within the community, but also that issues are being resolved.
